  2. Beautiful!
( I encountered a tortoise in Greece recently. It was in the middle of a very quiet road so I stopped the car and moved it to the verge, (s) he wasn’t very impressed and made a hissing sound! )

    • Thanks! (Sometimes I imagine they are sensitive about their speed and resent implications that they aren’t moving fast enough.)

  3. I especially love the color of the jewelwing and the amazing textures/tessellations of the turtle’s shell. (Might you by chance have seen any interesting fungi?)

    • The turtle shell was amazing. I wanted to get closer but didn’t want to disturb it any further. I didn’t see any outstanding fungi, just a few mildly interesting mushrooms. I would have expected more with all the recent rain in the area.
