  1. Though they are common birds, towhees are more often heard than seen. So it was cool to find this one perched out in the relative open. He was quite obliging considering how relatively close I was standing to his area.

  2. I’ve been seeing this guy’s spotted cousin on my hikes around the Marin Headlands lately. I’d never seen one before. I like the red eyes.

    • Ah yes! The spotted ones are cool. I finally saw one on a Texas trip a couple of years back.
