trio

inside outside hot
inside cold and outside hot
all hot but one room

***************************

dry faded flowers
offer seed of life in death
a bird flies off full

***************************

the walls are falling
glimpses seen through plaster cracks
yet there are no walls

  1. As I read the first in this trio, I found it aptly timed, as I’m trying every yogic, Nietzschean, and/or other strategy I know of to make it with sanity intact until the heat breaks this weekend, or so the ubiquitous They predicts. Until then, doing my best to stay in my one semi-cool room while the heat revels vulgarly in itself everywhere else.
