  1. Love that heron head-on! (And others, too, but this guy– lady?– is sporting a unique expression. We were probably in Dallas at the same time (tho’ I was stuck in the airport)!

    • The herons were a particular highlight. They were just strolling around in a blasé manner–it was surreal.This particular one was a female. She had a name but it escapes me now.

      I was actually also stuck at DFW. Spent Sunday night there after they couldn’t locate a cockpit crew for the plane we had boarded and sat waiting in for an hour. Super fun.
