  1. The expression on that bird’s face and the tilt of his (his?) head are priceless. I imagine one would be hard-pressed to win any argument with this particular hawk, in the same fashion that a real discussion with William F. Buckley was usually futile.

    • Hard to say which sex it was. Red-tails tend to overlap in size between the sexes, unlike many other hawk species where the female is larger, sometimes conspicuously so. It was hard to determine size anyway from where I was standing, and with only a lone blue jay nearby for comparison (it was harassing the hawk).
