I like this erasure a lot. Is there a structure to it or do you play it by ear and see where it goes?

    • It depends on the text. I never read the entire original piece. I glance over it and sometimes words and phrases jump out and knit themselves together as I’m going through it. Other times it takes a little more thought. I prefer the former, though, and sometimes discard a text if it doesn’t feel right as I’m going through it. I’ve sort of become obsessed with doing it. In some ways I find it more satisfying than writing poems from scratch. Anyway, I’m glad you liked it.
